Accommodation

Accommodation To Suit Your Needs

You may choose to live with an English family in their home. 'English-speaking family', as used here, usually
means a husband and wife, or a husband and wife with children, living in the same house. However, there are
numerous English families which have one adult and child or an adult (usually a landlady) living alone. Certain
host family homestay accommodation is of an exceptional high standard, and for these homes the category of
homestay plus applies.

Leisure And Cultural Activities

The School organises a range of afternoon and evening activities accompanied by staff members. Activities
include: pub nights, video evenings and parties, which encourage students to socialise in English. Various other
events provide unique opportunities for students to learn about other cultures, while trips to London’s West End
shows keep students in touch with the British way of life. We also organise sports activities. Our leisure
programme changes monthly to cater for students' interests and requirements.

Day Trips

The School offers trips and favourite destinations in London include Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral,
Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London and The Victoria and Albert Museum. Further afield, students visit
locations such as Oxford, Cambridge, Stonehenge and Brighton. Weekend trips abroad are also arranged from
time to time to places such as Amsterdam and Paris. All excursions are accompanied to provide language support and to guide the students around places of interest.

There are a number of print editions compiling study abroad programs. These are trade and special interest publications listing programs, and frequently available at college study abroad offices. Individual students can also check for the existence of a study abroad office at their own college or university.

In some countries, students wishing to study abroad seek help with study abroad consultants. Study Abroad consultants have contracts with different universities and colleges in different countries, so these consultants act as representatives of these institutions. The role of these consultants is to give details about course, fee structures, fee payments procedures, scholarships options of intended institution, help students with application procedures. They also guide about visa process of the intended country.
